Our Mission
The Rise and Reclaim Advocacy Group empowers survivors of abuse in religious institutions by supporting victims, exposing misconduct, and advocating for meaningful reforms that promote accountability and safety. We envision a future where religious spaces prioritize healing, integrity, and justice.
We believe that every survivor deserves to be heard, supported, and empowered. Our first priority is to serve as a compassionate and confidential space for victims to share their stories. Once a victim shares their story with us, we connect them with a comprehensive network of resources tailored to their needs. This includes specialized religious abuse support groups, access to trauma-informed counseling, options of journalists and podcasters committed to sharing survivor stories, and legal support through our trusted partners.
Whether victims seek emotional healing or want to pursue criminal charges, we stand by their side, ensuring they have the tools and support to reclaim their lives.
Please note, this is a survivor run nonprofit. While our staff is in the process of taking trauma informed courses and will strive to continue to grow as safe listeners, we are not trained professionals. We simply serve as advocates with networks to connect you to those professionals.
Meet Your Advocates
Gracia - CEO, Founder & Victim Advocate
Gracia is a repeat survivor of SA, a prominent IHOPKC whistleblower, and the founder of the RFI (Recovering From IHOPKC) support group. As such, she has spent the last 6 years passionately advocating for victims of clergy abuse and helping others both deconstruct and, at times, reconstruct their faith. Based in Minnesota, and a mom of three, she is passionately working to build bridges with churches in an effort to bring systemic changes to organizations that historically perpetrate harm. Gracia is dedicated to empowering survivors as they reclaim their stories and embark on their unique healing journeys.
